  • Regional Internship Center of Southwestern Pennsylvania
    The Regional Internship Center (RIC) of SWPA has been created with the help of the Three Rivers Workforce Investment Board to increase the number of internships and to create a centralized internship system in the region. The RIC actively works with employers, assists them in developing internship programs and connects them to potential interns and regional colleges and universities.

    This site by the American Society of Newspaper Editors includes internship listings by date and state, job fairs, online resources and other valuable information for anyone interested in a career in journalism.
  • Center for International Education

  • Duquesne University Undergraduate Research Program
    The Duquesne University Undergraduate Research Program is funded by the Bayer School of Natural and Environmental Sciences, the Mylan School of Pharmacy, the National Science Foundation and the departments and faculty of the University. This program is open to non-Duquesne students.
  • Feminist Majority Foundation
    The Feminist Career Center lists progressive internship opportunities for motivated undergraduate students with a strong interest in public policy and political science, particularly in areas concerning gender, human rights and development.

    Search for internships around the world from this nonprofit organization that lists over 23,000 nonprofit and community organizations in 153 countries. You can also search for jobs and volunteer opportunities.
  • INROADS
    INROADS is an international non-profit organization with 50 offices serving more than 4,500 Interns at over 400 companies. It trains and develops talented minority youth for professional careers in business and industry.
  • Magee-Womens Research Institute Summer College Student Program
    This program provides students with the opportunity to participate in research projects of either basic science or clinical orientation. The ultimate goal of the program is to promote interest in biomedical research as a potential career.

  • Pennsylvania Department of Environmental Protection: Professional Internships
    Available to current full-time bachelor's and master's degree students. A wide range of opportunities are available and some internships are paid.
  • Pennsylvania Historical and Museum Commission Internship Program
    Internships are designed to supplement formal education of undergraduate and graduate students interested in a career in public history.
  • Pennsylvania Newspaper Association Foundation Internship Guide
    Information about internships available at member newspapers throughout the state.
  • Pennsylvania State House of Representatives Legislative Fellowship Program
    This 13-week program is open to college seniors and second semester juniors from the 14 state-owned and four state-related universities. Fellows can receive classroom credit and a monthly stipend of $1216 is provided.
  • Pittsburgh Technology Council: Student Opportunities
    The PTC works with local companies to develop meaningful internships for students.
  • Pittsburgh Tissue Engineering Initiative: Summer Internship Program
    The SIP provides paid internships for undergraduate college students who are currently enrolled in or are graduating seniors of an undergraduate program, pursuing careers in medicine, research, bioengineering, computer science, the natural sciences, or related fields.
  • Pittsburgh Zoo & PPG Aquarium
    The Zoo offers internships in Animal Husbandry, Horticulture, Research, Marketing and many other areas to students at any level who are at least 18 years of age.

  • Shaver's Creek Environmental Center Internship Program
    This is a program administered by Penn State and includes housing and a stipend. The goal of the program is to prepare students for a career in cultural/natural history and environmental education professions.
